gab es 2020 eine interessante Arbeit derAutoren Nadayca T. Bonani Mateussi, Bruno F. Melo, Claudio Oliveira bei der auch eine neue Art beschrieben wurde. Die Arbeit wurde erstmals veröffentlicht am 05. Juni 2020.

Die neue Art heißt: Catoprion absconditus Bonani Mateussi, Melo & Oliveira, 2020

Somit ist die Gattung Catoprion nicht mehr monotypisch.
